About Our Company
Industrial automation still runs on hardware designed decades ago.
It is expensive, locked to a single vendor, and painful to build on.
We got tired of chasing modern goals with technology that stopped
moving forward.
So we built the alternative. Ratch Tech replaces PLC-centric control
with a hardware-agnostic software platform: the speed and flexibility
of modern computing, no vendor lock-in, and none of the reliability
trade-offs industrial control usually forces on you.
We started as two friends modernizing a control system that had been
outgrown years earlier. Simon joined Warren after retiring from
professional rugby, and Ratch Tech grew out of that work. The platform
is running in production today, custom-built for our clients.
Our mission is to make industrial control accessible, flexible, and
future-proof.
Warren Fletcher
Co-Founder and CEO
Warren holds a BSc in
Electrical and Computer Engineering,
and has over a decade of professional experience in the software
industry, including work with several Fortune 500 companies.
During this time, he has focused on customer engagement,
scalable systems, and product development for both consumer and
prosumer markets.
He has also worked with a startup in the energy sector
developing a novel diesel generator replacement using hydrogen
and fuel cell technology.
Simon Raw
Co-Founder and CPO
As a former
Currie Cup-winning professional rugby player
with a BSc in
Mechatronics Engineering, Simon's
background spans two high-performance environments where the
standards are uncompromising.
Both taught the same lesson. Excellence is not talent alone.
It is consistency, accountability, and an obsession with getting
better over time. That belief defines Simon's approach
as a founder, and our strength as a company.
Simon is fully dedicated to building Ratch Tech as a company and
contributing to the development of the software platform behind
it.
